In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities during overnight hours. Your positive attitude, excellent driving skills, and commitment to customer service will ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for every patient. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care while working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle vans, limousines, and commercial transport vehicles to move patients overnight. Assist patients with boarding, disembarking, and securing mobility aids as needed, demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety regulations. Navigate efficiently using GPS and maps to ensure timely arrivals at designated destinations while adhering to traffic laws. Communicate clearly with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients to coordinate transport schedules and address any special needs or concerns. Handle heavy lifting when assisting patients with mobility aids or luggage, maintaining safety protocols at all times. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or maintenance issues that arise during shifts. Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine services with a strong focus on safety. Familiarity with paratransit services and commercial driving regulations. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare staff, and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting patients or handling equipment. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability. Experience in school bus driving or other specialized transportation roles is a plus. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor during all interactions.
