Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Wheelchair Van Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for individuals with mobility challenges. In this energetic role, you will operate specialized vans equipped with wheelchair lifts, ensuring passengers arrive at their destinations comfortably and on time. Your dedication to excellent customer service and safety will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Safely operate wheelchair accessible vans, ensuring secure transport for passengers with mobility needs Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking, including proper use of wheelchair lifts and securement devices Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and performance Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during each shift Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate routes and address any concerns Conduct pre-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety hazards before each journey Keep accurate records of trips, passenger details, and vehicle maintenance logs Skills Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar commercial driving roles Familiarity with paratransit services, heavy lifting, and vehicle maintenance procedures Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment Knowledge of traffic regulations related to commercial driving and specialized transportation services Experience with limousine or school bus driving is a plus but not required Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise meets compassionate service.
