Job Description

Sundale, a 100-bed rehabilitation and nursing facility located in Morgantown, WV, is looking for exceptional, energetic, and caring Activities Assistant with Van Driver duties to join our amazing team of essential healthcare workers! Full-time position Must be able to work weekends/holidays Must be able to work shifts starting at12PM, 1PM, or 2PM. Must possess a valid state issued Driver's License Must be at least 25 years old to qualify for coverage on facility's auto insurance policy Responsibilities include: Assists the Activity Director in organizing and implementing activity programs in accordance with state and federal regulations and Sundale's policies and procedures. Recognize importance of role in each resident's quality of life. Responsive to resident needs. Completes documentation and projects as assigned by the Activity Director. Ensures safety of our residents while on outings in the community as well as within the facility. Must be comfortable working in a nursing facility setting with our elderly population. Work well with members within the Activities Department as well as other departments to ensure our residents overall needs are met. Participate in resident care conferences as assigned. Must be comfortable transporting and accompanying residents to community/local events and/or appointments.
Qualifications:
The ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and fellow co-workers. Minimum of a high school education or GED preferred.
