In this full-time travel assignment, your talents will shine as you support a student who benefits from a Teacher of the Deaf (TOD), FM amplification, and cochlear implants. The work includes 5 weeks of Extended School Year (ESY) services, with continuity into the next school year—providing both a meaningful summer role and longer-term professional growth.
Key Qualifications:
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL); RID/NAD, state, or educational interpreter certification preferred Experience providing sign language support in an educational environment Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and related service providers Understanding of auditory technology including FM systems and cochlear implants Strong communication, adaptability, and organizationCore Responsibilities:
Interpret lessons, assignments, and interactions between the student, classmates, and staff Facilitate communication alongside the TOD and ensure access in all classroom and school activities Support the student's use of assistive listening equipment Adapt to varied learning environments and student needs Provide ongoing feedback and insights to the educational teamEnjoy These Advantages:
