This full-time role begins as soon as possible and extends through a 5-week Extended School Year (ESY) program, with the possibility to continue into the next academic year. You'll play a vital role in supporting a student who actively collaborates with a Teacher of the Deaf (TOD), utilizing an FM system and cochlear implants. Qualifications & Skills:

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), with proven interpreting experience in school settings Certificate or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (state-recognized, where applicable) Experience working with students who use cochlear implants and FM systems is highly desirable Ability to interpret lesson content, classroom discussions, and student interactions with clarity and accuracy Strong collaboration skills; able to coordinate effectively with Teachers of the Deaf and special education staff Commitment to student confidentiality and professionalism at all times
