Qualifications:

Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year of recent Cath Lab nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong critical thinking and assessment skills Proficiency with cardiac monitoring equipment Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures Prepare patients and procedure rooms, ensuring adherence to strict aseptic techniques Monitor and document patient status, including vital signs, throughout procedures Assist physicians during cardiac interventions by anticipating and providing required instruments and medications Administer medications and manage IV lines in accordance with clinical protocols Deliver patient education regarding procedures, aftercare, and discharge instructions Collaborate with cardiology and ancillary teams to ensure seamless patient care Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies or changes in patient status
