Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel Discover the professional and personal rewards of working in the heart of Appalachia in Viper, KY - a hidden gem renowned for its natural beauty and welcoming community. This travel assignment for an experienced Cath Lab Technologist will expose you to a variety of advanced cardiovascular procedures. You'll gain invaluable insight by collaborating with accomplished providers who excel in both innovative techniques and patient-centered leadership. Expand your resume as you rotate through two state-of-the-art Cath Labs and train in Electrophysiology (EP) cases, further enhancing your versatility in cardiovascular diagnostics and interventions.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:30 (rotating weekday off) 8-10 call days per month: one night/week (17:30-07:00) and one weekend every three weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning) Must be able to respond to STEMI alerts within 30 minutes
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience
AHA BLS & AHA ACLS
certifications required ARRT and Kentucky license required (can apply for KY licensure upon job offer; must apply immediately) Willingness to cross-train in EP highly valued Experience assisting with both radial and groin access preferred
Core Responsibilities:
Table panning, scrubbing, and assisting with diagnostic & interventional cardiology cases Set up and operate devices such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector Assist in device implants: pacemakers, ICDs, and perform peripheral diagnostics/interventions Cross-train in EP lab with opportunities for further development Maintain readiness for rapid STEMI response as part of an on-call team
