Key Responsibilities:
Perform computerized tomography (CT) studies with adherence to protocols, adjusting exams based on patient history and radiologist input. Administer both IV and oral contrast per institutional guidelines; closely monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, documenting all pertinent data. Ensure optimal radiation protection for patients and staff, utilizing appropriate shielding and collimation techniques. Assist with nursing tasks, including sterile procedures, obtaining vital signs, comprehensive history-taking, venous puncture, and recognition of urgent medical conditions such as allergic reactions, providing immediate assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
Proficient in CT imaging and general radiographic techniques. Experience in administering IV and oral contrast materials with a focus on patient safety. Familiarity with sterile technique and assisting with minor procedures. Ability to monitor, assess, and document patient condition throughout all phases of care. Skilled in identifying and responding to medical emergencies.
