Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Travel Discover Cottondale, Alabama—a friendly Southern town where tradition meets modern opportunity. As a traveling CVOR Tech, you'll be able to expand your professional network, work alongside experienced leaders, and add specialized procedures like open heart surgery to your skillset. This travel assignment presents a rewarding opportunity for professional growth and resume enrichment. You'll participate in complex surgical procedures, collaborate with leading cardiovascular teams, and adapt to evolving surgical practices—all while enjoying the benefits of exploring a vibrant new region.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Emergency call every third week for 7 days Holidays as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Required certification in AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS Completion of one of the following: College Anatomy & Physiology I course Central Sterile Processing Technician certification Hospital-approved Surgical Tech certificate course 2 years of experience preferred (will consider 18 months of experience under highest professional license, with at least 1 year recent in specialty) Operating Room or equivalent experience
Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile equipment and operating room environments for open heart and other surgical procedures Assist surgeons and nurses during complex cases, maintaining focus on positive patient outcomes Ensure adherence to infection prevention, safety standards, and surgical protocols Demonstrate compassion and effective communication with patients and families Support and encourage a team-focused environment
