Schedule/Hours:
Travel contract position with potential shift cancellations (up to 3 within 12 weeks)
Qualifications:
Active Maine RN license (or compact-state eligibility) BSN preferred BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred Up-to-date immunizations and flu shot (varicella, HepB, MMR, Tdap, PPD as specified) Demonstrated knowledge of age-appropriate assessment and nursing interventions Critical thinking, problem-solving, and strong communication skills Physical ability to safely provide care (lifting up to 30 lbs, standing, walking, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough, age-appropriate assessments and reassessments Execute comprehensive discharge planning and ensure patient/family understanding Develop and implement tailored care plans, aligned with patient needs and physician directives Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in rounds and meetings Administer medications safely and document accurately Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and emergency preparedness initiatives Promote a safe, organized environment for patients and staff Support the hospital's mission through professional conduct and advocacy for patients
