As a travel RN, you'll work alongside talented professionals in a 20-bed MedSurg unit with a family-like atmosphere and collaborative team culture. This Critical Access Hospital is the perfect setting to broaden your skill set, as nurses here "wear many hats," gaining exposure to a wide array of patient needs, advanced teamwork dynamics, and direct involvement with diverse leadership approaches.
Schedule/Hours:
7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts (block scheduling available depending on staffing needs) Weekend coverage every third weekend (or more if desired) Holiday rotation desiredDesired Qualifications:
Active RN license Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (if ER) Confident in assessments, medication administration, teamwork, and infusion pumps Social skills, reliability, and adaptability in fast-paced environmentsPrefer:
ER experience (first-time travelers welcome) Experience with drips (insulin, heparin, levophed, amiodarone), and tele strip reading (Mindray monitors) Ability to provide respiratory treatments, manage Cpap, BiPap, high-flow (Hamilton C1 ventilator) Experience in critical access settings is a plusResponsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care for a diverse caseload (CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib, falls, swing bed, and more) Titrate and manage various drips independently Collaborate with CNAs, PCTs, and a supportive charge nurse (non-assigned to patients) Flexibility to float to ER as needed and manage various clinical tasks Participate in a thorough orientation and ongoing educationPerks and Benefits:
