Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Travel Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a hospital inpatient setting with a focus on ensuring safe, effective medication use and patient-centered service. This travel opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every sixth weekend coverage and corresponding days off during the week, providing a balanced work-life arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, interpret, and accurately dispense medication orders and prescriptions. Monitor patient medication therapies for therapeutic appropriateness and effectiveness, considering patient age and condition. Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory standards. Communicate drug information clearly to patients, families, and healthcare providers. Participate in emergency drug therapy management, including medication preparation and ensuring adequate medication supplies. Coordinate day-to-day pharmacy technician activities to optimize department workflow and patient care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patients. Commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
Location:
Pataskala, OH (travel assignment with flexibility to relocate temporarily).
