This assignment offers the chance to work in a robust 24-bed Intensive Care Unit that cares for a diverse population of critically ill patients. Here, you'll expand your clinical expertise across advanced technologies, collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, and receive firsthand exposure to various leadership styles—all while building an impressive resume that reflects your versatility as a critical care nurse. Schedule 12-hour night shifts Every other weekend One major holiday coverage required Desired Background Active RN license in state of assignment or compact-eligible Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience (3 years preferred) Proficient in ventricular management, sedation, and vasoactive drips/pressors Experience with ventilators, Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients preferred Must be adept at EKG rhythm interpretation (passing an EKG exam at orientation is required) Strong skills in lab draws and peripheral IV insertion BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Previous neuro or mixed critical care experience is advantageous Nursing diploma must be provided Responsibilities Comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, and evaluation Medication administration and ventilator management Leadership in patient and family education, care coordination, and support Participation in quality improvement initiatives and safety advocacy Skillfully manage life-supporting modalities (IABP, CRRT, Impella, etc.) Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in dynamic, fast-paced situations Benefits & Travel Perks Tax-advantaged housing and meal stipends Expert travel assistance for your journey to Henrico and return Premium compensation for your high-level skills Healthcare coverage from day one, plus a 401(k) for future planning Job security with access to rewarding, flexible assignments Ready for a challenging ICU experience that will elevate your skills and take your career to new places? for this travel nursing adventure and make Henrico, VA your next professional and personal destination!
