This role allows you to work under the guidance of a Radiologist, specializing in intricate interventional radiology procedures that expand your technical expertise and clinical confidence. Schedule/Hours:
Travel position with varied shifts depending on facility needs
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as an Imaging - IR Tech Experience in the setup and operation of imaging equipment, pressure injectors, and sterile field maintenance Strong understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles Ability to independently determine accurate imaging techniques and patient positioning Excellent communication and patient care skills Track record of effective teamwork and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for invasive imaging procedures and explain examination protocols Obtain relevant medical history and maintain thorough documentation Assist Radiologists in carrying out complex diagnostic procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging results Maintain and restock necessary supplies and manage imaging equipment Ensure patient and team safety by adhering to radiation protection principles Resolve image exceptions and manage study completion in PACS and RIS systems Support continuous quality assurance and participate in the onboarding of new staff or students
