Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - IR Job Type Travel Grow your career as an RN specializing in Interventional Radiology while making a significant impact on patient care. This contract opportunity calls for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide expert support within a dynamic Interventional Radiology environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum of 2 years' experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) or a critical care setting Proficient IV skills, moderate sedation administration, and pre/post-procedure care Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical documentation abilities Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after IR procedures Perform and monitor sedation according to established guidelines Assist physicians and technologists with procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort Monitor for changes in patient condition and respond promptly to emergencies Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
