As a member of the Med/Surg Float Team, you'll engage with diverse patient populations and collaborate with various healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to multiple specialties such as observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, rehab, and transitional care. This role is designed for nurses seeking professional growth, hands-on experience with innovative workplace practices, and fresh leadership perspectives—an exceptional step to enrich your resume and cultivate your adaptability.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week assignment 36-48 hours/week guaranteed (minimum 36, up to 48) 12-hour day/night variable shifts (must be flexible) Every weekend and holiday rotation requiredKey Qualifications:
Active RN license or Compact license BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS preferred (required by end of orientation; certification provided) 1-2+ years recent Med/Surg experience Experience with venipuncture and Cardizem Recent Epic charting experience (within past 2 years) Strong time management, adaptability, teamwork, and resilience Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment locationPrimary Duties:
Float between multiple units as required Deliver safe, patient-focused care for a variety of conditions Adapt to the needs and workflows of different units Support patient recovery through evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaborationBenefits and Perks:
