Schedule/Hours:
12-hour PM shifts Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) 13-week assignment Enjoy a dynamic nursing role in a 28-bed Medical/Surgical Ortho unit working with post-op orthopedic, trauma, and select medical patients. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in engaging, team-oriented environments and are eager to build new skills in post-surgical care, multidisciplinary care coordination, and use of advanced equipment like Alaris pumps and Hercules beds.
Qualifications:
Current RN license (state or compact) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications Familiarity with dysrhythmia assessment (exam required; study guide available) Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Background in caring for surgical drains and orthopedic post-op patients preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments, develop and evaluate individualized care plans Safely administer medications and manage hemodynamic monitoring Provide patient and family education Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes Serve as a patient safety advocate and support ongoing quality improvement Flexibly adapt to fluctuating workloads and patient needs
