Job Description

Working as a Med Surg Float RN means collaborating with dynamic teams, gaining versatility through diverse unit experience, and developing skills with a wide range of patient populations. Stepping into this role provides firsthand insight into a variety of clinical units, including observation, cardiac, medical-surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and transitional care. You'll refine your nursing expertise, experience different leadership approaches, and broaden your competence with advanced charting systems and high-acuity cases. During your off-hours, the area offers endless opportunities to explore—discover local parks, cozy eateries, and relaxing trails for a balance of meaningful work and rewarding downtime.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week contract with guaranteed 36-48 hours per week (minimum 36, OT after 48) 12-hour variable shifts (days/nights); weekend and holiday rotations No on-call or call-back requirementsQualifications & Experience:
Active RN or Compact license; BLS (American Heart Association) required NIHSS preferred for start; must complete by end of orientation (certification provided at no cost) Minimum 1-2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience Experience with venipuncture and Cardizem administration required EPIC charting experience within the past 2 years Strong time management, adaptability, and social skills Must live more than 50 miles from the hospitalKey Responsibilities:
