Responsibilities:
Prepare the scan room and patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy. Draw up and administer IV or oral contrast materials when indicated, following all safety guidelines. Conduct equipment warm-ups, enter patient data, and perform detailed technical review of scans and patient history. Interview and screen patients for contraindications, explain MRI procedures, and answer patient questions. Transport and assist patients into the scan room, position them appropriately, and inject contrast materials as required. Conduct scans with attention to image quality, protocol adherence, and patient comfort. Accurately mark images and ensure correct sequence and orientation in image entry. Prepare detailed records for review by radiologists and maintain complete clinical documentation.
Qualifications:
Certification as an MRI Technologist Experience with advanced MRI equipment and patient positioning Strong communication and organizational skills IV administration and safety knowledge
