  • Stepdown Job Details:
  • Work 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Cannot accommodate large blocked scheduling requests
  • Care for 4 patients per nurse in an 11-bed unit (expanding to 11-12 beds)
  • Must have travel experience and ICU skill set required
  • 1-2 years critical care experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS
  • Must be able to titrate drips including insulin, Cardizem, heparin, amiodarone, and low dose dopamine
  • Required to float to Med-Surg Telemetry, ICU, or Emergency Department as needed
  • Care for post-operative vascular patients, hemodynamically stable cardiac dysrhythmias, CVA, sepsis, renal patients, stable acute MI, unstable angina, and post cardiac catheterization patients
  • Experience with BiPap, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, telemetry, critical drips, and post cardiac catheterization care required
  • CRRT and IABP experience preferred
  • Arterial line experience, post fem pop, post endarterectomy, ECAR, and TVAR experience preferred
  • Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPap, high flow O2, mechanical ventilation via tracheostomy, specialty beds, and IV pumps
  • Monitor telemetry with 24/7 monitor tech support
  • Dress code: Navy scrubs (solid color, no embroidery or patterns), closed-toe shoes only, no crocs
  • Use EPIC charting system
  • Complete orientation including general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, computer training, and two 12-hour preceptor shifts
