Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered occupational therapy services within a hospital setting under the guidance of the Inpatient Therapy Services Manager. Engage in assessment, planning, and implementation of tailored therapeutic interventions. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team to optimize rehabilitation outcomes. Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with patients and their families. Stay updated on best practice protocols and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Desired Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (B.S. or M.S. in Occupational Therapy required). Current registration as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Michigan. Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association is highly recommended. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient advocacy and teamwork. Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred, but not required.
