Category Therapy - Hospital - OT Job Type Travel Set amid the picturesque landscape of Buhl, Idaho, this travel opportunity invites you to discover a vibrant community nestled in the heart of the Snake River Valley. When your shift ends, you're perfectly positioned to explore Idaho's famed trails, hot springs, and breathtaking canyons. This role offers a chance to expand your résumé in a setting that values professional development. You'll gain invaluable exposure to a variety of workplace practices, collaborate with dedicated leadership, and enhance your clinical expertise across a diverse patient caseload—including ortho (total joints), neuro (strokes, occasional brain injuries), medical, and general ICU in acute inpatient and swing bed settings. With one therapist per day and a patient base of 8 to 10, enjoy autonomy and the chance to make a direct impact. The department uses EPIC EMR, and you'll have structured orientation to ease your transition. If census is low, be prepared to float to a nearby facility, widening your experience and network.
Schedule:
5 x 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (0830-1700) Onboarding schedule requires M-F availability Holiday coverage may occasionally be neededQualifications:
Current Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification At least 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience (first-time travelers encouraged to apply) Experience with ortho, neuro, and medical patient populations preferred Comfort with EPIC charting or willingness to learnResponsibilities:
Deliver OT interventions for acute inpatient and swing bed patients Work independently to manage daily caseload Collaborate with interprofessional teams and supervisors Float to a nearby facility as required based on censusBenefits & Perks:
