Schedule/Hours:
Travel assignment Flexibility required to meet patient care needs
Key Qualifications:
Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program (Associate Degree required, BSN preferred) Active, unencumbered RN license in Alaska 1-2 years' Operating Room nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS strongly preferred) National Certification in Surgery/PACU is a plus Proficiency with standard medical and office equipment Ability to apply AORN nursing standards and adapt care to all ages Strong oral, written, and critical thinking skills COVID vaccination completed (proof required)
Essential Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation Direct and coordinate nursing activities across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases Foster interprofessional collaboration for best patient outcomes Serve as a resource for team members, providing guidance as needed Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers in all aspects of surgical care Maintain documentation, competencies, and compliance with nursing regulations Support the mission and values of the healthcare organization
