This travel assignment enhances your professional toolkit and lets you experience innovative approaches to patient care. Schedule & Hours 10-hour day shifts (06:30-17:00), 4 shifts per week 1-2 weekends per 3-month period 3-6 on-call days per 3-month period Flexibility around holidays in accordance with unit needs Qualifications Active KS RN or Compact Nursing License AHA BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience: general surgery, robotics, ortho, GU/GYN, ENT, or plastics New graduates not accepted Must be willing to complete multi-day orientation (includes training at a partner campus and virtual Epic EMR training) Adherence to a nicotine-free workplace policy Responsibilities Deliver perioperative care to a variety of surgical patients Collaborate with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams Ensure patient safety and best practices for surgical procedures Document using Epic EMR and maintain accurate records Flexibly adapt to unit needs, including holiday and occasional weekend coverage Perks & Benefits Tax-advantaged travel stipends and travel assistance Premium compensation with bi-weekly pay periods Comprehensive healthcare benefits and 401(k) options Job security within a reputable healthcare network Enrich your adventure with resume-building experiences, and enjoy downtime exploring everything Shawnee and Kansas City offer to launch your next career chapter in Shawnee—advance your skills, expand your network, and make every day an experience to remember!
