As an integral part of the operating room team, you will act as a patient advocate and ensure the highest standards of surgical care. Circulating in the OR provides invaluable experience in managing complex cases from start to finish, and you'll gain professional growth working alongside experienced surgeons, scrub techs, and anesthesia providers in a supportive, tight-knit team.
Desired Schedule/Hours:
On-call rotation for after-hours surgical emergencies (details provided during interview) Flexibility required to assist in multiple perioperative areasQualifications & Experience:
Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN; BSN preferred) Active, unrestricted RN license (NM license or compact state license accepted) BLS (AHA) required; ACLS required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months) PALS and CNOR preferred 1-2 years' recent RN Circulator experience (critical access, rural experience a plus) Proficient in electronic medical records and perioperative standardsKey Responsibilities:
Conduct preoperative assessments and verify patient data Manage overall OR suite setup, equipment, and supplies Maintain meticulous surgical count and documentation Oversee patient safety and advocacy before, during, and post procedures Respond to emergencies and participate in after-hours call rotation Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative team membersExceptional Benefits:
