This exciting travel RN assignment is ideal for those seeking advanced professional growth in operating room nursing, especially within a high-acuity orthopedic specialty setting. You'll collaborate with some of the region's top surgeons, mastering complex total joint revision and multi-trauma procedures across a state-of-the-art surgical department. Adapting to new leadership and embracing unique team dynamics will boost your resume and add valuable career experience.
Schedule:
10 or 12-hour shifts available Weekend call: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM One overnight trauma call per week (11p-7a), additional as scheduled by specialty 36 guaranteed hours per week 1:4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
First scrub complex total joint revisions with diverse implant systems (Stryker, DePuy, Smith & Nephew, Zimmer) Operate the Mako robotic system and Hana table with confidence Assist on polytrauma orthopedic cases with minimal supervision Achieve efficiency goals: 30-minute turnovers, 90% first case on-time start Collaborate across five high-volume orthopedic ORs in a 26-bed surgical suite
Desired Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license At least 2 years of Operating Room/Level 1 trauma experience required Demonstrated expertise with orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures Proficiency with vendor systems, orthopedic instrumentation, robotic and specialized equipment Strong adaptability, team mindset, punctuality and accountability CNOR certification preferred
