You will work with patients recovering from injuries or illness, helping them move better, feel better, and stay active under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program. Active California PTA license required to start the assignment. Outpatient experience required. No new graduates. Experience performing 60-minute evaluations and providing treatment sessions. Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required. Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including evaluations, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry per clinic policies and payer guidelines. Demonstrated competence in safe patient handling and materials handling practices. Adherence to state Practice Act, facility policies, and professional code of conduct. Maintain licensure and required continuing education.

Preferred:

Experience in student supervision and participation in clinical education programs.

1. Must provide outpatient-specific clinical skills including comprehensive evaluations, plan of care development, and delegation/direction of discipline-specific services for assigned patients.
