Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN)

Key Qualifications:

Active, unencumbered RN license Recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit required Proficient assessment and clinical judgment skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong interpersonal abilities for effective communication with patients and care teams Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient condition

Responsibilities:

Monitor and evaluate patient status, utilizing advanced assessment skills Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for optimum care planning Educate patients and families on care processes, discharge instructions, and health management Accurately document patient information and interventions in electronic health records Support recovery and stabilization of patients as they transition from intensive to lower-acuity care

Schedule/Hours:

Follows assigned shift patterns; flexibility to cover nights, weekends, or holidays may be required depending on unit needs
