Qualifications:

Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (or eligibility) Previous inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred, especially in critical illness and rehabilitation settings Knowledge of safe patient/materials handling, infection control, and workplace hazard identification Strong competency in clinical reasoning and caseload management Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans to facilitate patient progression toward discharge Collaborate with team members to overcome barriers to discharge, including patient/family training and equipment planning Manage treatment sessions efficiently—both individual and group Maintain clear, timely, and accurate medical record documentation Ensure all care is under current physician orders and in compliance with regulations Mentor students and participate in clinical education as assigned Pursue professional development and actively contribute to advocacy or community initiatives
