Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Courtland, VA offers a charming blend of small-town hospitality and scenic countryside, making it an inviting destination for traveling healthcare professionals. Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm On call: Every 4th weekend for inpatient care
Desired Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapy license in the State of Virginia (required prior to submission) Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; Doctorate preferred Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Current BLS/CPR certification Specialty certifications such as OCS, SCS, NDT, or Lymphedema are advantageous Experience with outpatient, inpatient, and surgical patient populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for a diverse patient mix (7-8 patients per day on average) Provide skilled physical therapy in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to maximize functional outcomes Administer and modify treatment plans based on patient response and clinical guidelines Educate patients and caregivers, and assist with discharge planning and community resources Participate in clinical education and process improvement initiatives Maintain professional competency via continuing education and in-service opportunities
