Responsibilities:
Administer daily prescribed doses of ionizing radiation as directed by radiation oncologists Utilize and maintain advanced treatment units while adhering to rigorous safety and radiation protection protocols Accurately position patients to ensure precision according to physician directives Record and verify treatment data with specialized software Provide education, physical support, and emotional reassurance to patients and families regarding therapies, side effects, and post-care procedures Uphold a professional, compassionate environment emphasizing superior customer service Contribute to the training and development of radiation therapy students Engage in ongoing professional development and educational initiatives
Qualifications:
Certification as a Radiation Therapist Experience with linear accelerators, Tomotherapy, or proton therapy preferred Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to service excellence Ability to educate and support patients through the treatment process Dedication to maintaining safety for patients and staff
