Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Travel Deliver high-quality cancer care using your expertise in radiation therapy. This position involves working as a Radiation Therapist, collaborating with an oncology team to provide essential treatments and support to patients throughout their cancer journey. Contract opportunity available for healthcare professionals eager to make a difference.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program Previous experience in a hospital or clinical oncology setting preferred Ability to clearly communicate with patients and staff, providing compassionate care Attention to safety, accuracy, and detail in following treatment protocols Current BLS certification required
Typical Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation treatments, ensuring proper positioning and dosimetry Operate sophisticated linear accelerators and related equipment Monitor patients during procedures to quickly identify and address any concerns Document treatment accurately within electronic medical records Provide patient education about treatment expectations and post-therapy care Work collaboratively with physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to optimize care Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines to protect patient and staff well-being
