May include call, weekends, or holidays as the department requires
Key Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Registered or eligible for registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT) Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, safety protocols, and equipment operation Ability to perform accurate dose calculations and maintain precise records Excellent communication skills with a compassionate demeanor Capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks, and preserving confidentiality Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate courses of radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist Conduct patient setup, simulations, and treatment procedures in multiple areas of the oncology department Fabricate custom blocks and immobilization devices to support patient comfort and safety Maintain detailed electronic medical records for dose, scheduling, and treatment aids Educate patients about their procedures, answer questions, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure high-quality care Adhere to safety guidelines to minimize risk to yourself, patients, and coworkers
