Travel Radiology Specialist Assistant Schedule This is a full-time position requiring an 8-hour shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, five days a week. Job Description The Radiology Specialist Assistant provides patient care services under the supervision of a physician, delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care. This role performs patient assessments, supports clinical procedures, and collaborates with the healthcare team across various patient age groups. Responsibilities Provide medical services within the scope of practice and privileges. Perform patient assessments using age-specific growth and development principles. Assist the supervising physician with radiologic procedures and patient management. Maintain patient flow and organize clinical workload effectively. Respond appropriately to emergency situations. Document procedures accurately and educate patients on procedures, obtaining informed consent as required. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate of an approved course of study acceptable to the New York State Education Department. Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; certification as a Radiologist Assistant (RA) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a radiology focus is preferred. Current ARRT certification in Radiography; additional certifications in CT, Ultrasound, or Interventional Radiology are desirable. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
