Job Description

Schedule/Hours:
Must arrive the Thursday before your start date for a mandatory employee health appointment on Friday.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active RN license Recent experience in MS Oncology Proficiency in Epic EMR Skilled in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy Experience with port-a-caths, PICC, and Hickman catheters (accessing, performing dressings, labs, etc.) Strong patient assessment, documentation, and care coordination abilities Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of hazardous drugs (PPE usage required)
Key Responsibilities:
Independently administer various oncology therapies and injections per provider orders Maintain detailed, accurate medical records and monitor patient responses Quickly alert Medical Oncologist or Nurse Practitioner to any unusual situations and take appropriate emergency actions Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment protocols, side effects, and disease processes Ensure informed consent is verified before administering chemotherapy Adhere to safety protocols, policies, and procedures Perform related duties as needed in an 18-bay oncology unit
