Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Step into a pivotal healthcare role providing high-quality respiratory care alongside a multidisciplinary team. This contract opportunity invites skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists to deliver expert clinical services in a dynamic hospital environment. Schedule/Hours May include on-call shifts during days, nights, weekends, and holidays Desired Qualifications and Experience Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current state respiratory care licensure Experience in airway management, ventilator care, and arterial procedures Competency in advanced respiratory care procedures preferred Ability to respond effectively to emergent and routine patient needs Strong collaboration and communication skills Key Responsibilities Administer aerosol medication delivery, bedside pulmonary function tests, breathing exercises, and oxygen therapy Perform arterial cannulation, arterial punctures, and all aspects of airway management, including tracheostomy care, tube changes, and endotracheal intubation/extubation Operate and monitor ventilators, employing specialized modes and weaning techniques suited to patient conditions Provide respiratory care and advanced practice procedures as required, especially in air or ECMO transport settings, which may include pediatric/neonatal transport, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABG collection, and blood glucose monitoring Accurately record all patient care information in electronic medical record systems in accordance with hospital and departmental policies Serve as a resource for physicians and staff, aid in onboarding and training of new practitioners, and participate in ongoing clinical education May assume charge therapist responsibilities when needed Elevate your career by taking on a critical role in respiratory clinical care, working in an environment that values skill, dedication, and team collaboration.
