With a 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit and an 8-bed step-down unit, you'll encounter a diverse range of acute and chronic respiratory conditions, as well as other complex medical cases. The inclusive, collaborative environment fosters daily interdisciplinary rounds, ensuring constant opportunities to learn and expand your clinical acumen. Flexible options: 36 or 48 hours per week Includes holidays as neededRotation:
Every other weekendRequired Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses) Minimum 2 years' experience preferred, but will consider candidates with 18 months, if 1 year is recent and in specialty Willingness to float as neededKey Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional care to patients with respiratory and various medical conditions Work within nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 (main unit) and 1:4 (step-down) Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on daily patient rounds Care for a range of cases: pneumonia, COPD, GI issues, diabetes, and more Adapt quickly to changing unit needsExceptional Benefits:
