With a 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit and an 8-bed step-down unit, you'll encounter a diverse range of acute and chronic respiratory conditions, as well as other complex medical cases. Hours:

Flexible options: 36 or 48 hours per week Includes holidays as needed

Rotation:

Every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in nursing Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses) Minimum 2 years' experience preferred, but will consider candidates with 18 months, if 1 year is recent and in specialty Willingness to float as needed

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional care to patients with respiratory and various medical conditions Work within nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 (main unit) and 1:4 (step-down) Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on daily patient rounds Care for a range of cases: pneumonia, COPD, GI issues, diabetes, and more Adapt quickly to changing unit needs
