Qualifications and Experience:

Current and valid credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Licensure in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain) Proven experience in hospital or clinical settings preferred Proficiency with a wide range of respiratory therapy techniques—including ventilator management, aerosol therapy, and arterial blood gas analysis Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

BLS/ACLS

certification required

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients based on physician orders Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and airway management Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures and interpret clinical data Educate patients and their families on respiratory treatments and self-care practices Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress Adhere to departmental policies, infection control standards, and safety regulations
