Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Make a difference in patient care as a skilled Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity places you in a dynamic healthcare setting, supporting patients with respiratory conditions and working alongside a collaborative team of professionals.
Qualifications:
Active and current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program Valid professional license to practice as an RRT Competence with respiratory therapy procedures and ventilatory support Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Previous clinical experience in an acute care, hospital, or similar environment
Responsibilities:
Administer and monitor respiratory care procedures, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol treatments Assess patient respiratory status, document treatment plans, and update medical records Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to develop individualized respiratory care plans Provide emergency airway management as needed Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, therapy techniques, and equipment usage Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring all machines are functioning properly Comply with all facility protocols and safety standards
