1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring ACLS and a valid IL RN license. Details Emergency Department (ER) position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 97 staffed beds Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Choice of 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts per week Patient ratio of 1:3 Charting via Epic (experience required) Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating may be required between two campus locations (Belleville and Shiloh), and to inpatient units during slow periods Block scheduling is not available for this position Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Requirements Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable — note status when applying Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Preferred certifications: PALS and TNCC Epic EMR experience required Ability to work in fast-track, triage, and high-acuity patient care environments Additional Information Responsibilities include caring for high-acuity patients, working fast-track and triage areas, and delivering strong customer service Navy scrubs required No parking costs at this facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Travelers may work at this health system for up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break is required Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for considerationSimilar remote jobs
