1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital, requiring dual competency in both ED and Med-Surg settings with active CO or compact licensure. Details Works in both the Emergency Department and Med-Surg/Acute Care units within a critical access hospital setting Average daily census of 17-18 patients Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:00-06:30 Every other weekend requirement On-call requirement: 2 call shifts per month, covering 05:00-19:00 for day or night call-offs in either the ED or Acute Care unit No floating requirement outside of the ED/Med-Surg dual assignment Medication management via Pyxis Documentation via T-System Requirements Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Critical access hospital experience strongly preferred Comfortable working in both ED and Med-Surg/Acute Care settings Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC Must reside within a 1-hour radius of the facility to meet on-call requirements 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information Provides emergency and acute care nursing across both the ED and Med-Surg units as needed Call shift hours are 05:00-19:00; if full staffing is confirmed by 19:00, the call obligation ends for that shift Any time-off requests must be submitted upfront and are subject to manager approval Scrubs of any color are acceptable First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travel RN•Emergency Dept 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Del Norte, CO 81132 $2,434 a week•Contract American Traveler 108 reviews $2,434 a week•
