Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT required) New York State Respiratory Therapy license (or eligibility) Experience in patient assessment, diagnostic testing, and cardiopulmonary care Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages experiencing respiratory illnesses or disorders Perform and analyze diagnostic testing and exams Setup and use cardiopulmonary equipment essential for patient care Accurately document and report symptoms, reactions, and patient progress Administer prescribed medications and treatments; execute airway management (including endotracheal intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care, pulmonary hygiene) Provide emergency life support when necessary Educate patients and contribute to community outreach initiatives related to pulmonary health
