Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Advance your career in respiratory care by supporting patients and collaborating with dedicated medical professionals. We're seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a contract role, where your clinical skills and commitment to quality patient care will make a lasting impact.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Current licensure to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (or eligibility) Proven experience in acute care and critical care respiratory therapy roles preferred Proficient with ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and airway management Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities Knowledge of current best practices and safety standards in respiratory therapy
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care following physician orders and industry guidelines Assess patient respiratory status and recommend appropriate interventions Manage artificial airways, including intubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care Monitor ventilator and oxygen therapy, making necessary adjustments for patient stability Administer aerosolized medications and perform chest physiotherapy as prescribed Document patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately in the medical record Educate patients and families on breathing techniques and home-care instructions when appropriate Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive care
