Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current state licensure as required for practice Proven experience in a clinical, acute care, or hospital environment Thorough knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment, ventilators, and technology Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective patient care plans Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Strong documentation and electronic health record (EHR) proficiency

Responsibilities:

Administer prescribed respiratory care treatments to patients of varying ages and conditions Perform diagnostic testing, including arterial blood gases and pulmonary function assessments Monitor and document patient response to therapy, adjusting treatment protocols as needed Educate patients and their families on respiratory treatments and home care practices Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Ensure proper sanitation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment Contribute to emergency response efforts, including rapid response and code situations
