Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Travel A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school in Jordan, NY, primarily serving elementary students with some high school students included. This contract position, running from September through June, offers the chance to support speech and language development within a dynamic educational setting. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of around 28 students, conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments, and developing individualized therapy plans. You will provide direct therapy tailored to each student's specific needs, collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations, and actively participate in IEP meetings to contribute to goal setting. Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions, along with offering guidance and support to parents and caregivers, are key components of this role.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws Located in a scenic area of Upstate New York, this position follows the school calendar with scheduled hours and vacation aligned to the academic year, providing guaranteed work hours.
