Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school in Jordan, NY, primarily serving elementary students with some high school-aged children. This contract position runs for the full 2025-2026 school year, from September through June. In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, focusing on assessment, individualized therapy, and collaboration with educators and families to support speech and language development. Working closely with the school team, you will contribute to creating an inclusive environment that fosters student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop tailored therapy plans Deliver direct, individualized therapy services to students Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement accommodations and modifications Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers regarding communication development
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication skills and collaborative approach Familiarity with IEP processes and relevant educational laws
