Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, with the ability to swiftly address procedural challenges Verify items on physician preference cards and manage supplies to ensure accurate patient billing Utilize, assemble, and clean surgical equipment and disposables according to protocol Ensure all instruments and supplies are in working condition and correctly arranged for procedures Maintain a vigilant sterile environment, monitor sterile fields, and promptly identify breaks in technique Set up sterile fields efficiently and keep precise accounting of medications, instruments, and sharps per policy
Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience in an operating room setting Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams Excellent communication skills and a proactive, adaptable mindset Familiarity with sterilization standards and operating room safety protocols
