Job Description
Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Discover the charm of Bellevue, Nebraska while growing your nursing skill set in a thriving, welcoming community! This 13-week travel opportunity places you at the heart of one of Eastern Nebraska's leading medical centers, offering an ideal setting to advance in Progressive Care/Stepdown nursing. Take advantage of immersive collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and exposure to both Oncology and Trauma PCU patient care, expanding your resume and perspective. After your shifts, you'll have time to explore the natural beauty and rich heritage Bellevue is known for, making every day outside of work a meaningful adventure.
Schedule/Hours:
13-week assignment 36 hours per week 12-hour shifts: 7a-7p, 7p-7a, and other flexible times Every other weekend required Self-scheduling availableRequired Experience & Qualifications:
Active RN license Minimum 1 year of PCU or Oncology & PCU experience (first-time travelers welcome) BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS required Chemotherapy certification preferred but not mandatory Charge RN experience: at least 1 year if interestedOPEN BOOK
skills exam during orientation (90% required to continue) Driver's license for radius qualification (must live 50+ miles away) Commitment to patient-centered care and a teamwork mentality No concurrent work with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based care for complex Oncology and Trauma PCU patients Occasional titration of insulin and cardizem drips, chemotherapy administration (if certified) Floating to Med/Surg or other PCU units as needed Utilize lift equipment safely and efficiently Document withEPIC EMR
