Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Situated in the charming community of Waxhaw, NC, this travel nursing assignment offers not only vibrant local culture and picturesque Southern backdrops but also convenient proximity to dynamic city attractions. In your downtime, you'll have the chance to explore scenic parks, quaint historic districts, and indulge in unique culinary ventures—a perfect blend of professional advancement and memorable adventure. Working in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides valuable hands-on exposure to a wide variety of patient populations and advanced clinical scenarios. As a travel RN, you'll interact with multiple leadership styles and workplace practices across different hospitals within the region, enhancing adaptability and expanding your clinical perspective. With a focus on continuous learning and teamwork, you'll strengthen your resume, boost your skill set, and grow professionally while enjoying regional exploration.
Schedule/Hours:
Weekend rotation: every other weekend No on-call requirement 75% of holidays worked (per team expectations)
Qualifications:
Active RN license and compact licensure eligible Minimum 18 months of recent PCU RN experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required) Advanced skills in critical care drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke management, drain/tube care, and familiarity with Epic, Alaris, and Omnicell Flexible and willing to float across facilities in the regional network as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for stroke, cardiac, respiratory, and multiple complex diagnoses Manage critical care drips, blood administration, and invasive lines Independently interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing robust support from department resources Float across designated regional facilities, maintaining standards of care wherever assigned
