Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Located in the inviting community near Indian Trail, North Carolina, this travel nursing opportunity offers you the chance to experience the scenic charm and welcoming culture of the region. Professionally, this role exposes you to a wide range of patient populations and operational styles. Working alongside diverse healthcare professionals across multiple facilities in the region, you'll sharpen your stepdown skills and gain insight into different leadership approaches. Expand your resume by managing various diagnoses, learning new technology platforms like EPIC, and actively participating in multidisciplinary care teams, all while contributing to exceptional patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
Weekend rotation: every other weekend No call required for travelers Holiday expectations: 75% of holidays scheduled Scheduling requests subject to team approval
Qualifications:
Active RN license Minimum 18 months recent PCU RN experience
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications required Strong PCU competencies—stroke management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, IV and PIV skills, chest tube and drain management, and critical care drip administration Comfortable with floating throughout the region as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality care to patients with complex conditions, including neuro, cardiac, respiratory, and GI disorders Utilize your proficiency with EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors Collaborate effectively with CNAs, hospitalists, intensivists (including virtual afterhours), and other support staff Respond and adapt to rapidly changing situations, including floating mid-shift to different facilities as required
